Occupy D.C. planned to shut down Senate building, 6 arrested

Capitol Police moved swiftly to stop protesters unfurling banners at a U.S. Senate office building in Washington, D.C.

Members of the Occupy DC protest, a demonstration that arose out of the larger Occupy Wall Street protests, marched on the Hart building on Tuesday morning.

Protesters gained entrance to the Hart building’s atrium and dropped two banners, one reading “End War Now” and the other “People for the People.”

NBC News reports as soon as demonstrators unfurled their signs, Capitol Police placed them under arrest. At least six have been arrested for unlawful conduct...

Dozens of other demonstrators ran through the building’s upper levels chanting and waving smaller signs.
According to one blog, a popular Liberal blog, the demonstrators had planned to shut down the senate building - which, I suppose, is par for the course for these Left Wing anarchists...
