Golf: Obama, once again, skips some holes to avoid media cameras

President Obama returned to the Vineyard Golf Club on Sunday and, as he did on Friday, skipped a few holes to avoid media photographers.

With millions of Americans currently are out of work and many Americans cutting back on their vacations, the President is trying mightily to keep his Golf excursions out of the public eye.

Hence, the Boston Globe reported on Friday: When Obama approached "the eighth tee in a golf cart with friend and frequent golfing buddy Eric Whitaker," he "noticed three TV cameras and a Globe photographer across the street. Rather than stop and be photographed teeing off, the president skipped the hole."

And, today, the Boston Globe issued a similar report about the President's Golf outing on Sunday:

Perhaps because it poses difficulties for the media horde trying to get pictures of him, Obama returned to Vineyard Golf Club in Edgartown [a private club], where he played Friday and had largely managed to avoid the cameras. And yesterday, he did skip some holes in an effort to bypass photographers.
Ultimately, the President, and the White House, prefer to have the final say as to which photographs should, or should not, be released to the public. And they seem to be doing a pretty good job so far. Perhaps not a perfect job, but good enough.
